Faculty and staff in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) have several annual opportunities to nominate students, faculty and staff for several awards.The following awards are given periodically in the CANR and at the University level. CANR produces a packet of all available awards which includes summary information, past CANR recipients, and deadlines for each award.

The Distinguished Alumni Award. Presented annually, this award recognizes a graduate of the MSU College of Social Science whose combination of credentials, experience, and achievements distinguish him or her in his or her chosen field. Nominations are submitted by alumni and college leadership.

He is presently a college campaign consultant for The Campaign for MSU. In recognition of his many achievements, he received the MSU Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004. In 2006, he received both the Computer Science and Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award and the Claud R. Erickson Distinguished Alumnus Award in the College of Engineering.

Dean Bowman is an education law scholar who has written and presented extensively on the topic. In 2010, she received the Education Law Association's Steven S. Winners of the George S. McGregor Scholarship Ashton Pallottini received a BS in statistics with a 2nd degree in economics and a minor in math. While at MSU, he was the recipient of three scholarship awards: the Kit Murphy Scholarship, the Peter and Evelyn Speerstra scholarship, and the Honors College STATE Scholarship.

Jack Weyhrich entered MSU with an Alumni Distinguished Scholarship. He was in the Honors College and an Econ Scholar. He was in the Honors College and an Econ Scholar. Fill out the MSU Denver General Scholarship Application. One of the requirements is an essay. This essay is separate from any writing samples the English Department scholarships require. Once the General Application is filed, applicants are able to access the list of all scholarships available at MSU Denver.
